Popular trails include Old Buck Trail, Dog Mountain, and Hyannis Trail. The Seymour Valley Trailway to Seymour Dam is a 22.9 km out-and-back ride that offers stunning views and a challenging route for cyclists. Mount Seymour Ski offers winter sports programs and has convenient bus service from Parkgate Community Centre, making it accessible for residents.
One of our favorite hikes on the North Shore is the Baden Powell Trail. This well-maintained 48 km trail runs from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay, with several convenient access points in the Blueridge neighbourhood.
Mt Seymour
Mt Seymour is a family-owned and operated ski resort located just 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Since 1984, the Wood family has proudly maintained the mountain’s welcoming atmosphere, offering a relaxed, family-friendly environment. With over 1,000 cm of snowfall annually and 80 hectares of terrain, including 40 hectares for night skiing, Mt Seymour provides options for beginners and advanced skiers alike. The mountain is also known for its snowshoeing, once voted #1 in North America by Snowshoe Magazine, and its top-rated terrain parks in Western Canada.
