Summer is in full swing and there’s no better time to enjoy the great outdoors! Whether you’re looking for a relaxing picnic in the park or an exciting adventure, North Vancouver has plenty to offer during the month of July. Here are some of the top activities you won’t want to miss out on!

Pitch and Putt

Spend a day playing golf at Murdo Frazer – you can contact them at 604-980-8410 to book in for the weekend. This is a small and easy course, ideal for beginners! If you’re up to golfing a full course, I would highly recommend Northlands. This 18-hole course is perfect for players of all skill levels and offers stunning panoramic views of the city.

Bocce

Gather a group of friends for some friendly competition at the bocce courts located at Ray Perrault in Grand Boulevard. This fun and easy game is a great way to spend an afternoon outside – plus this is an alcohol approved zone. Who doesn’t love bocce with a cold beverage in hand?!

Tennis & Pickleball

Grab your racket and head to one of North Vancouver’s many courts. The City has outdoor sport courts in the following locations:

Outdoor courts are free to use and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit the NVRC Courts page. To reserve the courts or for more information, contact the North Vancouver Recreation and Culture (NVRC) at 604-987-PLAY (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm) or use the online booking form. NVRC requires at least 24 hours to confirm and permit booking requests.

Hiking

North Vancouver is known for its beautiful hiking trails, and July is the perfect time to explore them. Take a leisurely stroll through the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or challenge yourself with the Grouse Grind. Click here if you’d like more inspiration on where to explore!
